Problem:
´╗┐CompanionDx approached my team at OnMessage with a need for a brand identity that represents a series of conferences hosting talks about pharmacogenomics. The problem was that the subject of pharmacogenomics was complex and relatively unknown, even to medical professionals. 

Solution:
I thought about how such an intimidating subject could be represented in a way that is approachable enough to allow for conversation. The concept for my logo took the form of a brain while maintaining the shape of a chat bubble. I leveraged a 3-D mesh style that allowed for a vibrant yet complex logomark. This combination came across as friendly, without sacrificing the complexity of the subject.
